Amy Baron, M.A.
President & Co-Founder
Amy Baron is a veteran educator with 20+ years of experience developing market-leading products for the K-12 and Higher Education markets [Publication history]. As Vice President of Product Development at Vista Higher Learning, Amy oversaw a 50% increase in K-12 product sales, working with curriculum and technology decision-makers in both large public districts and private schools. Prior to Vista, Amy led product development and acquisitions teams at Pearson, Houghton Mifflin Harcourt and Cengage.
Amy developed a passion for education as an undergraduate at Dartmouth College. In her early career, she taught Spanish and ESL at the City University of New York, Duke University, New York University, and The Dalton School in NYC. Amy has an M.A. from NYU and completed the coursework toward a Ph.D. from Duke University.
Dan Schwartz, Ed.M.
Partner & Co-Founder
Dan has broad and deep experience designing and developing video and interactive media for education, marketing, organizational communications, and general interest. He has worked in a variety of industries, including education, healthcare, and technology. Dan built and ran one of the web’s early online video operations (iCast), and has produced interactive learning applications for Pearson, Houghton Mifflin, Oxford University Press, and Bedford St. Martin’s. He has also consulted on online learning products for Harvard University Medical School, Brown University Medical School, and MIT (edX).
Dan is particularly interested in the intersection of entertainment media and learning media, and believes each can inform the other. Toward that end, he developed a system for analyzing and categorizing media for TVMentor, a discovery and personalization system for families. Dan has a Master’s degree in Educational Technology from Harvard University.
Strategist, Technology Developer
Stephan is an Emmy award-winning technology developer who has been working at the intersection of video, media, and technology for over 15 years. He is the president of Meliorist Technologies, a company that provides consulting and development services around data-driven applications. His clients have included Disney Online, Veho Networks, and PeoleLink, a social media progenitor. Stephan has developed several media discovery and personalization solutions, including TVMentor for families and, currently, Strawz—a platform that facilitates the generation, management, and distribution of metadata for educational media.
Robin Glickstein, Ed.M.
Marketing Strategist, Researcher
Robin is a fifteen-year marketing veteran with expertise in ideation, copywriting, and market research. She has led strategic and creative development for ad agencies, managed in-house promotions, and designed and negotiated numerous co-marketing partnerships. Clients from Beetrix Research and Consulting to Bass Pro Shops turn to Robin for her unique interview skills, which she honed at Harvard Business School's Mind of the Market Lab. Robin also has spent countless hours contributing her marketing experience to educational and non-profit organizations. She has sat on the board of directors of Smart-Girl, a non-profit group that uses positive peer guidance and leadership development to support middle school girls, and Rose Women’s Organization, a donor-advised fund. Robin holds a Master’s degree in Technology in Education from Harvard University.
Jodi is a graphic designer and illustrator with 20+ years experience developing contemporary and visually engaging solutions for top educational publishing houses as well as boutique businesses. She has a thoughtful and collaborative style and enjoys the initial brainstorming process, which she considers critical to bringing out a project's full potential. She believes that a simple approach to a design problem is often a powerful one and isn't afraid to push the envelope. Jodi earned a B.A. in Communication from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, as well as a Graphic Design Certificate from Massachusetts College of Art.
